Research results seem to say that eating good, healthy food may help women to recover from breast cancer.

These findings come from a small study that was presented at a meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in Chicago. The study was done in Italy at Piacenza hospital. The study followed 307 women for three years. All of the women had experienced breast cancer.

199 of the women were told to eat a Mediterranean diet, which is full of fruit, vegetables, fish, olive oil, and grains. They were allowed to have one alcoholic drink a day. The other 108 women were used as a control group and told to eat and drink normally. A control group is a group of people who just continue living their regular lives, but are compared to the study group at the end of the study. This way, researchers can study the effects on the group of people in the study who made changes to their lives.

After three years, the study showed that the women who ate a Mediterranean diet did not see cancer return. However, 11 women from the control group saw cancer return.

Experts seem to agree that the study is interesting but too small, too short, and not detailed enough. Professor Arnie Purushotham from Cancer Research UK said that more research over a longer period with more women is needed. And Dr. Erica Mayer, an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, said that this research and previous research did not take a close enough look at how much the patients exercised or how much weight they gained or lost. Dr. Mayer also said that in all the studies done so far, it was not clear enough exactly which foods patients ate or didn’t eat.

Doctors and researchers already know that physical exercise and weight gain or loss can affect the chance of getting breast cancer. However, there is not enough information about whether there are any specific foods that would help to fight or prevent cancer. So in the future, a longer study will need to be done that looks at the amount of physical exercise patients do, their weight changes, and exactly what they eat.

Many researchers and women who are worried about breast cancer will be following the research closely. Hopefully, in the future, researchers will be able to offer specific advice about what to eat and what not to eat. For now, the advice is to eat a balanced diet and to exercise regularly.

These findings come from a small study that was presented at a meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in Chicago. The study was done in Italy at Piacenza hospital. The researchers studied 307 women for three years. All of the women had breast cancer before.

The researchers told 199 of the women to eat a Mediterranean diet. Mediterranean dishes have a lot of fruit, vegetables, fish, and olive oil. It was OK for the women to have one drink with alcohol in it per day. The other 108 women were used as a control group and told to eat and drink normally. A control group is a group of people who just continue living their regular lives. They are compared to the study group at the end of the study. This way, it’s easier for the researchers to see and study the differences.

After three years, the study showed that the women who ate a Mediterranean diet did not get cancer again. However, 11 women from the control group did get cancer again.

Most researchers say that the study is very interesting. But they also say that it is too small, too short, and it does not have enough detail. Professor Arnie Purushotham from Cancer Research UK said that researchers need to do more studies. He said the studies should be longer, and they should include more women. And Dr. Erica Mayer, an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, said that the research so far did not take a close enough look at how active the patients were or by how much their bodies became heavier or lighter. Dr. Mayer also said that in all the studies researchers have done so far, it was not clear enough which foods patients ate or didn’t eat.

Doctors and researchers already know that there’s a link between living an active lifestyle and changing one’s body size and the chance of getting breast cancer. However, there is not enough information about whether there are any special foods that help to fight or stop cancer. So in the future, we will need longer studies. The new studies will need to look at how active patients are, at their body size changes, and in detail at what they eat.

Many researchers and women who are worried about breast cancer will continue to be very interested in new research results. Hopefully, in the future, researchers will be able to offer good advice about what to eat and what not to eat. For now, the advice is to eat a balanced diet and to do sports regularly.
