Dana: I’m back!
Chloe: Welcome home! Wow, you look fantastic. I can’t remember the last time I saw you looking so well-rested.
Dana: Thanks! Yeah, I got tons of rest. My hotel bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby.
Chloe: And you got a great tan, as well. I’m jealous!
Dana: Well, the weather in Palau was gorgeous! I got to spend all day at the beach, soaking up the sun.
Chloe: That sounds amazing. What else did you do?
Dana: Oh, the real jewel in the crown was going snorkeling in Jellyfish Lake. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. You’re basically swimming in this salt water lake with thousands of jellyfish.
Chloe: Wait, but aren’t jellyfish supposed to dangerous? I heard their sting is really painful.
Dana: That’s true, but actually Jellyfish Lake became separated from the ocean thousands of years ago, so over time the jellyfish there lost their stinging ability.
Chloe: That’s incredible! It sounds like you had a whale of a time. I definitely know where I’m going on my next vacation.

Chloe: それに、いい色に焼けているわね。うらやましいわ。
Dana: うん、すごくいい天気だったの。1日中ビーチで過ごして、日光浴することができたの。
Chloe: それはよかったわね。他には何したの？

快適で深い睡眠を十分に取った結果、非常に爽快な気分で目覚めることを意味する表現です。
例）MarkとルームメートのJeffは、最近引っ越した上の階の住人について話しています。

似たような物事の中で特に優れているものについて話す際に使われる表現です。

Cory: Yeah, but the real jewel in the crown had to be those voice-controlled eyeglasses that let you surf the internet.
